Endow and name the TALI Education Fund and you guarantee the continued growth and expansion of the TALI network of Jewish schools and preschools throughout Israel for generations of Israeli children to come. Your name will be forever linked to Israel and to a tolerant and pluralistic Jewish education that is reaching Israeli communities from the Galilee to the Negev.
Endow the Teacher Training Institute for the TALI School Network,…… $3,000,000
TALI 's success is wholly dependent on the level of the educators in our schools. TALI has established a human resource development department to train Israeli principals and teachers as TALI Jewish Educators. This gift will be publicized and acknowledged at a ceremony during our annual TALI conference in Jerusalem, attended by the leading figures in Israeli education, and acknowledged prominently on the walls of the TALI wing of the new Schechter campus in Jerusalem.
A TALI Decade of Development:
20 New TALI Schools.……$2,000,000
Over the next decade, this gift will be used to develop 20 new TALI schools, bringing over 10,000 new pupils every year closer to their Jewish heritage and to the Jewish people, and training 400 additional TALI teachers and principals. A plaque gratefully acknowledging this gift will be displayed in schools all over Israel, with a gala inaugural ceremony in the presence of Israel's Educational leadership at the annual TALI conference in Jerusalem.
Establish a New TALI School.……$120,000
You can form a bond with a school community that has decided to place the Jewish experience of its pupils at the forefront of its education. Each new TALI school needs a partner - providing the support necessary to develop staff and to integrate an enriched Jewish studies curriculum over a period of four years. This gift will be prominently acknowledged with a plaque in the school's lobby, and honored with a special ceremony on one of your visits to the school.
"TALInet" - A Resource Sharing Network……$90,000
Integral to the development of new educational resources, to the training of teachers, and to the implementation of curriculum is the creation of an internet resource - a stimulating electronic gateway to the world of Jewish studies and an appropriate vehicle for sharing resources among TALI schools. This gift will create and operate the TALInet over three years, as well as provide in-service training for TALI teachers to orient them in using it. This gift will be acknowledged prominently and appropriately on the home page of the TALInet website!
Sponsor TALI Family Education……$50,000
Each year 15,000 pupils and parents participate in informal study seminars and workshops that complement and reinforce the TALI curriculum. This gift will enrich the Jewish experience of families all over Israel - sponsoring parent-child workshops for over 3,000 children and their parents, providing all day outdoor seminars for 1000 TALI 4th and 5th graders, and funding a 2-day (overnight) TALI Bar/Bat Mitzvah Seminar for 500 6th grade pupils. A long-term commitment to sponsor this program annually will rename the seminars for the donor, to be displayed on stationery, promotional and marketing brochures for the program, and on the walls of the TALI wing at the new Schechter campus in Jerusalem.
Parshat Hashavua (Torah Portion) Book or TALI Textbook.……$40,000
TALI's Weekly Torah Portion Book is produced and used annually by over 10,000 pupils each week in TALI classrooms. It presents various themes and values drawn from the weekly portion, together with stories, activities, and traditional and contemporary commentaries in a stunning graphic format that has earned high praise from educators, parents, and most important, kids!
TEF produces 3 textbooks annually for use in TALI schools.
Your gift will develop a unit consisting of a textbook for pupils, a teacher's guide, and supplementary materials (e.g. a CD-ROM, poster kit). These textbooks are unique and vital to the future of TALI education - integrating Jewish sources and heritage into lessons conveying messages relevant to the largely non-observant population served by TALI schools.
Sponor a TALI School Rabbi……$20,000
TALI school rabbis provide spiritual education in TALI schools, deepening the level of the Jewish experience for pupils, teachers, and parents, and serving as a different model of rabbi - open, tolerant, and inclusive - for a population that has been unserved and alienated by the authoritative Orthodox establishment in Israel. This gift will sponsor rabbis in 4 elementary schools in the upcoming year. A commitment of $20,000 per year for three years will sponsor one rabbi to work in 4 TALI elementary schools - building relationships and impacting forever on the lives of thousands of children, parents, and teachers.
TALI Childhood Pre-school Sponsorship.……$10,000
The more than seventy TALI pre-school classrooms throughout Israel integrate Jewish tradition into daily early childhood activities. Children and families are introduced to Judaism in an inclusive, warm atmosphere. Developing a TALI preschool involves training the teachers in early childhood Jewish education, providing resources for the classrooms, and offering family programs to parents and children.
