Friends Across the Sea - The Jewish People in Our Day.
Textbook and Teacher's Guide, for Grades 5-9.
|
| There are about 13 million Jews living in the world, and only 6 million live in Israel! Where do the rest live? How did they get there? What is life like for Jews in the Diaspora? How do they relate to the State of Israel? And what is our relationship with them? This program deals these questions and introduces us to Jewish communities outside Israel. Our hope is to learn about Diaspora Jewry, their world and our connection to them, and through this knowledge, learn more about ourselves. |
